Caledonian Railway Station Round Metal and Rope Wall Clock
Imagine it's the late 1800s, and you are traveling from England to Scotland. Chances are good that you'll find yourself on the Caledonian Railway, headed to the central station in Glasgow. While transportation in the UK has changed a great deal, traveling by train remains an excellent to see gorgeous landscapes as you go.
Station clocks are an iconic aspect of antique railway station design that have made their way into home decor use. These large wall clocks are typically round, with the location printed in the center.
This particularly unique station clock is made from silver galvanized metal with small circular cutouts made for rope accents to pass through, creating the Roman numeral numbers for each hour. Small black squares and circles ring the edge of the metal, which is then framed by a thin circle of rope and a ring of distressed white wood. Printed in the center in vintage typography is the text "Caledonian Railway, 1879, Central Station, Glasgow", accompanied by an ornate scroll design.
The elegant black hour and minute hands are battery-operated, so no cords, plugs, or visible electronics will interfere with the timeless aesthetic. This vintage inspired metal clock also comes equipped with a built-in sawtooth hanger, so it is ready to hang on the wall of your kitchen, living room, dining room, bedroom, or wherever you'd like to keep an eye on the time in style.
Requires one AA battery, batteries not included.
